 Serves 8 – 10

Preheat to 375°

1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened

1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

½ cup mayonnaise

5 or more cloves of garlic, minced

3 tablespoons of finely chopped parsley

½ teaspoons dried oregano

1 large loaf Italian or French bread, cut in half lengthwise

Mix the first six ingredients in a bowl and spread on bread.  Place bread halves on cookie sheet.  Bake for 15 minutes, until melted and bubbly.

Cool slightly before slicing.
